Our Pool Opening Preparation Service Includes
PUMP WATER OFF POOL COVER
Any water remaining on the cover from the off-season will be pumped off. Water on the cover is one of the primary reasons we can’t complete a pool opening, so we’ll take care of the problem in advance.
REMOVE DEBRIS FROM THE POOL COVER
Removing all the sticks, twigs, leaves, and other debris off the cover is no easy task! We’ll help with this tedious task and make sure your pool is ready to be opened.
START RAISING THE WATER LEVEL
We can only open your pool if the water level is at mid-skimmer. We will begin filling the pool, so it is at the proper level for hooking up the equipment at your pool opening.
How Much Does the Pool Opening Preparation Service Cost?
Our pool opening preparation service costs $150 for a one-hour visit, with additional charges of $75 for each half-hour after the first hour.
Any of these factors could increase the price of your pool opening prep service:
- Your pool is larger than 20 ft x 40 ft
- You have over 4 inches of water on your pool cover
- You have debris that covers almost the entire area of your pool cover

Getting water off the pool cover is sometimes quite tricky. It could take a very long time if you don’t have a pump.
On top of that, even if you have a pump, it could become clogged with leaves or other debris and put a damper on the process.

Forgetting To Raise The Water Level Requires A Return Visit Fee
We can’t tell you how many pool openings we have to reschedule because we show up and the water level is not mid-skimmer.
It is the #1 reason we cannot complete a pool opening on the day it is booked.
Since it takes us time to drive to your house, we have to charge a $75 return visit fee when we cannot complete your pool opening due to the water level needing to be higher.

We can schedule this service for you two days before your opening.
How long does the pool preparation service take?
Well, it depends on how much water and debris is on your pool cover.
Most visits can be completed within an hour since we use high-powered pumps, but if there is excessive water or debris on the cover, it could take longer.
*Extra labor charges will apply if the service takes excessive time due to inordinate amounts of water or debris on the cover.
