Our Pool Opening Preparation Service Includes

Any water remaining on the cover from the off-season will be pumped off. Water on the cover is one of the primary reasons we can’t complete a pool opening, so we’ll take care of the problem in advance.

Removing all the sticks, twigs, leaves, and other debris off the cover is no easy task! We’ll help with this tedious task and make sure your pool is ready to be opened.

We can only open your pool if the water level is at mid-skimmer. We will begin filling the pool, so it is at the proper level for hooking up the equipment at your pool opening.

How Much Does the Pool Opening Preparation Service Cost?

Our pool opening preparation service costs $150 for a one-hour visit, with additional charges of $75 for each half-hour after the first hour.

Any of these factors could increase the price of your pool opening prep service:

  • Your pool is larger than 20 ft x 40 ft
  • You have over 4 inches of water on your pool cover
  • You have debris that covers almost the entire area of your pool cover

Please feel free to contact us for a detailed quote based on your specific pool and needs.

Pool Opening Service Reviews

Professional Pool Opening Service

“We are so happy with the service this company provided. I must have called about 10 companies to try to get someone to open the above-ground pool at our new house (it wasn’t closed correctly, so needed a little extra love), and you’d think I was asking them to do it for free. I found Paul Romanelli & contacted them via their online request form (so easy and convenient!) & Justin & Dan came over the next day. They did an amazing job & even took the time to explain how all of the equipment works since this filter setup is new to us. Our pool is well on its way to being sparkling clean only 2 days later. Can’t recommend this company enough. Thank you!!!!”

My Go-To Company For Opening My Pool

“Justin and Marco were great. They did an absolutely amazing job. They made sure everything was done correctly and explained to me what they were doing. They also showed me how to improve the pool for next year and do things the right way. I can’t wait to have them open my pool next year. 10 out of 10 experience.”

Knowledgable and Communicative Pool Opening Crew

“Wow, I can’t say enough good things about this company. They have gone above and beyond to help us with our pool so far this season. They are super responsive, willing to chat, and offer explanations before we even signed on with them without being pushy at all. An issue has already occurred and they are very quick to send someone over to take care of it. The techs that came to open the pool were knowledgeable and kind explaining everything to my husband. Joanne is the best, and so friendly! Highly recommend.”

Is It Hard to Prepare Your Pool for Opening Yourself?

Although it may seem relatively straightforward, several factors can make it difficult.

Pumping Water Off The Pool Cover Can Be Challenging

Getting water off the pool cover is sometimes quite tricky. It could take a very long time if you don’t have a pump.

On top of that, even if you have a pump, it could become clogged with leaves or other debris and put a damper on the process.

Removing Debris From The Pool Cover Is Tedious

Debris removal can test your patience.

If you have never removed lots of debris off a cover before, you’re in for a workout!

Removing the debris while being careful enough not to damage the cover is easier said than done.

Forgetting To Raise The Water Level Requires A Return Visit Fee

We can’t tell you how many pool openings we have to reschedule because we show up and the water level is not mid-skimmer.

It is the #1 reason we cannot complete a pool opening on the day it is booked.

Since it takes us time to drive to your house, we have to charge a $75 return visit fee when we cannot complete your pool opening due to the water level needing to be higher.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is usually included in the pool opening preparation service?

Our pre-opening cover clear package includes:

  • Removal of water from cover
  • Removal of any debris from the cover
  • Begin refilling the pool

Can I schedule the pool opening preparation service for the same day as my pool opening service?

No, this will cause too many scheduling conflicts.

We can schedule this service for you two days before your opening.

How long does the pool preparation service take?

Well, it depends on how much water and debris is on your pool cover.

Most visits can be completed within an hour since we use high-powered pumps, but if there is excessive water or debris on the cover, it could take longer.

*Extra labor charges will apply if the service takes excessive time due to inordinate amounts of water or debris on the cover.
